Sharon specialises exclusively in cases involving children whether in the private law field or in pubilc law proceedings.
Within the public law arena, she is consistently instructed in High Court cases, whether acting for the local authority, parents or guardian and has undertaken a range of cases involving vulnerable clients, abuse/neglect, NAI with complex medical issues; and, recently exceptional cases involving honour killing and wardship.
Within the private law field, she has extensive experience of contact and residence disputes, and is regularly instructed in intractable contact cases, leave to remove applications as well as having significant experience being instructed on behalf of the child in rule 16 cases.
Sharon frequently represents high profile clients, often from the sports/entertainment industries with widespread media attention and multijurisdictional elements.
She is instructed as a junior to Leading Counsel in a number of cases each year.
