1 Garden Court's clerking is overseen by the Senior Clerk, Howard Rayner. Howard has been with Chambers since 1990 and was promoted to Senior Clerk in July 1997. He has operational responsibility for clerking including client management, the negotiation of fees, the clerking of all members of Chambers and the development of clerking procedures. He is supported in this by Paul Harris and Danny Chapman, the Clerking Managers. The Clerking Managers' specific duties include management of the diary, preparation of fee notes and supervision of junior clerks.
Joe Turner and Howard Rayner also support the service offered by Chambers by developing feedback opportunities for our clients, dealing with service failures and client complaints and by operating a system of Individual Practice Development for members.
