Laura Briggs KC and Melissa Elsworth, instructed by Freemans, represented the children (through their Guardian) in Re X and Y (Child Arrangements: Findings) [2026] EWCA Civ 1169, which considered, for the first time, if and when ‘findings’ or ‘observations’ can be made in summary Hague Convention proceedings, and the impact and weight of such within later Children Act proceedings.
