Richard Jones KC appeared on behalf of the Father, Gemma Kelly appeared as special advocate for both parents, in an application for a forced marriage protection order and care proceedings.  

The judgment sets out the law to be applied when an application is made to withhold information from parents in an application for an FMPO, which is being relied on in the context of care proceedings. 

Having heard from all of the open representatives in OPEN, and the open representatives for the local authority, guardian, and the parents' special advocate in CLOSED, the court decided that the CLOSED material would be withheld from the parents for a further short period, but then disclosed to them in full.
