Elisabeth joined chambers in 2019 and is building a broad practice which reflects the range of chambers’ expertise. Elisabeth welcomes instructions across the full spectrum of family law, and has a particular interest in international family law. Elisabeth has appeared independently at all levels up to and including the High Court.
Family Finance & Property
Elisabeth practices in all aspects of financial remedies, including enforcement, variation and interim relief. She also has experience of cases involving applications under Schedule 1 and TOLATA and accepts instructions to draft opinions and documents relating to all areas of family finance.
Elisabeth is regularly instructed to appear at all stages of financial remedy proceedings, including FDAs, FDRs and final hearings
Children (Private Law)
Elisabeth has extensive experience in a wide range of private law applications, including in cases involving alienation and intractable contact disputes, cases involving FGM Protection Order applications and in cases concerning complex allegations of abuse. Elisabeth acts at all stages of S8 applications, including fact-finding hearings and final hearings.
Elisabeth has a particular interest in cases concerning alienation as well as cases involving relocations, both internally and internationally, and including to non-Hague convention countries.
Children (Public Law)
Elisabeth accepts instructions to act on behalf of all parties within public law proceedings, including prospective special guardians. She has experience of representing clients at all stages of proceedings.
Domestic Violence & Injunctions
Elisabeth regularly accepts instructions across the full range of Family Law Act applications, including non-molestation orders, occupation orders and transfer of tenancy applications. Elisabeth has experience of proceedings which involve allegations of serious domestic abuse, including in cases where allegations are linked to ongoing or imminent Children Act proceedings
International Family Law
Elisabeth has a particular interest in international family law and has experience in cases involving international relocation and international child abduction. During her pupillage at 4pb, she gained extensive experience in child abduction matters which involved both Hague and non-Hague convention countries
Divorce and Matrimonial Proceedings
Elisabeth has experience in cases involving defended divorces and also jurisdiction contests, including cases concerning disputes as to the forum conveniens.
