Practice Overview
Rebecca specialises in family law and has done so though out her career. She appears at all level of court representing parents, grandparents, children, Guardians, the Official Solicitor and Local Authorities. Rebecca has particular skill and experience with vulnerable clients or those who find court proceedings particularly difficult or stressful. She is often instructed in cases involving complex fact-finding and where there are serious allegations of harm to a child. She has extensive experience of challenging expert evidence.

Children (Public Law)
Rebecca regularly appears in public law cases concerning children. She is often instructed in cases involving allegations of very serious harm to a child. She is able to advise and assist on the instruction of experts and challenging expert evidence in court. She has experience of complex care planning and the scrutiny of Local Authority conduct. She is very familiar with assisting vulnerable witnesses including children give evidence. Rebecca regularly appears in cases involving adoption and cases with an international element.

Rebecca has extensive experience of Private Law proceedings regarding children. She has appeared at all levels of court including the Court of Appeal. She regularly appears in cases involving Child Arrangement Orders, applications for leave to remove from the jurisdiction, internal relocation. applications for Prohibited Steps and Specific issue orders. Rebecca is often instructed to deal with cases involving implacable hostility and cases involving serious allegations of harm to a child.

Rebecca has considerable experience of family cases involving an international element and/or a foreign jurisdiction.

Rebecca has appeared at all levels of court to obtain injunctions on a without notice and on notice basis.
